You & your kids will love this healthy snack!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
3 tablespoons Crisco® Vegetable Oil
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
2 cups fresh blueberries
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x9-inch square baking pan. In a medium saucepan, combine honey, brown sugar, oil and cinnamon. Bring to a boil, and boil for 2 minutes; do not stir. In a large mixing bowl,combine oats and blueberries. Stir in honey mixture until thoroughly blended. Spread into a prepared pan, gently pressing mixture flat. Bake until lightly browned, about 40 minutes. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Cut into 1-1/2x3-inch bars.

2Update...
I thought this would be a perfect treat for the 4th of July (especially given the BLUEberries!) Anyway, I tried this recipe and it is not only delicious but super EASY! Two important criteria for me! I ended up making the bars more layered than blended. I started with the oat base...added a layer of blueberries....then ended with an oat top. (Like a sandwich!) Add a dollop of cool whip on top and a few strawberries on the side and it made a yummy patriotic dessert!
I packed a bar for hubby's lunch on Monday!
